Cancer & Homeopathy
October 9, 2007
In Malaysia where the real worth of homeopathy is still to be properly understood and realised, any story on cancer by any alternative health practitioner of whatever eminence is bound to excite ridicule and comment and I feel sure there will be a few whose victim both for ridicule and hatred I may happen to be. In this relation, I am reminded of the observations and expeience of Dr Burnett, MD from USA ( a former Alloptahic M.D. converted to Homeopathy ) who said, " If you try and fail in curing cancer, you are laughed at, if you try and succeed, you are hatred; I have experienced both and so feelingly." So also I am reminded of the experience of Ellis Barker in his book " Miracle Cures" regarding many doubting. Thomases among surgeon and allopathic specialists who themselves have failed to find a cure for cancer. " If one has cured a patient with cancer, and informs the doctor or surgeon who has pronounced the case 'incurable', the indivudual who made the terrible forcast frequently says, similingly: " It is quite true I diagnosed the case as cancer. Very little I was mistaken " Orthodox doctors and surgeon...

An Analaysis of Symptom in Homeopathy
October 7, 2007
Every disease is expressed by symptoms. When an outsatnding group of symptoms is exhibited regularly in certain order by a sick individual, it is spoken of as a disease. Certain diseases are so well known that they immediately bring to mind a vivid and relatively constant picture as for instance, pneumonia. Other like sinusitis or arthritis, altough possessing a name, has suc a varied an constant symptomatology that the name conveys nothing of a definate nature. The recognition of these symptom-syndromes was actual value only when medical research was able to determine the cause, whether inefective, metabolic, or organic. The treatment is directed, if feasible, to the cause in the logical hope that eridication of this will lead to cure. When the cause may be treated effectively, homeopathy is in entire aggrement with this doctrine of medicine. further reading http://drnikomar.tripod.com

Proving of Drugs
October 7, 2007
When a healthy person takes a medicine for experimental reasons, certain effects are produces, changes in body functions, secretions, and sensations which collective phenomena are spoken of as a drug proving. When arranged schematically and written down, it is known as a drug's Pathogenesis. These Pathogenic effects evaluated, interpreted and abbreviated, form the Homoeopathic Metaria Medica which we study and the sources of which appear at the end of this chapter. This study of pure, single, drug effects is a distinctive feature and the foundation of Homoeopathy and also an original contribution by Hahnemann to medical research for which he deserves the greatest credit. The fact stands that those drugs which are the greatest poisons become, if used according to Homoeopathic concepts, the greatest medicines. Indeed, Hahnemann pointed out the general rule that the possible good effect of any drug was directly proportional to its power to derange the healthy human mechanism*. Thus, Aconite, Arsenic, Gelsemium, have pronounced effects on the healthy body and hence, are correspondingly useful on a sick body. Such drugs are known as Polychrests. As drug proving is the very basis of our Materia Medica, it is...

Homeopathy and The Medical Sciences
October 7, 2007
Much Confusion has arisen among these not conversant with Homeopathy as to where the latter stands with reference to the braches of medicine. Do Homoeopaths teach and believe in surgery, preventive medicine, diet, and so forth? Briefly stated, Homeopathy concerns itself only with drugs and their scientific use in the treatment of disease. Otherwise, a graduate of a Homeopathic college is taught precisely what any other reputable medical institution has in its co curriculum leading to the degree of M.D. Certain fundamentals, however, would bear repetition. Homoeopathy holds, first, that the cause must be moved, if such be known. It endorses surgery and emphasizes the fact that every surgical case has a medical aspect and as such, may often be a candidate for a Homoeopathic remedy. This applies, particularly, to post operative convalescence. The growth and development of bacteriology and immunology shed a great light on the teachings of Homoeopathy. The next of the "Organon", the original treatise setting forth the principle of Homoeopathy, is quite unintelligible, unless viewed in the light of modern discoveries. Largely, for this reason, it was misunderstood and vilified but, as we shall see, it can best be explained when we have...

The Law of Similars
October 7, 2007
This assumes that every symptoms is the reaction of the defence mecahnism of human body against the disease causing agents. The symptoms areh the means through which the body tries to regain itis lost balance. The goal of the treatment should be further strengthen these means ( symptom syndrome) of regaining balance rather than supressing them. Therefore, the correct Homeopathic remedy can only be such a drug which can produce the symptomatology of the patient, thus leading to the principle of ' Similar Similibus Curentur' meaning " let the substance which can produce specific symptoms in a healthy individual cure those same symptoms in a sick individual. athrough the symptoms have arisen from another cause." It can be experssed as follows," An illness can be cured by a medicine which has the capability to produce symptoms similar to those of illness it purporst to cure" The Law of similars. Hippocrates was the first doctor and philosopher who made substantive references in his writings, to the term 'omiopathitiki'
